Skype Visit to Your Class

Looking to add a diversity of artistic perspectives to your students’ experience this semester, but don’t have the resources to have an artist in residence?  A video Skype visit with Misnomer could be the perfect fit.

The structure of this experience can really be tailored to the interests of your students.  Some options could be:

  1. An open Q&A with one or more Misnomer dancers during which your students can learn more about what it is like to be a dancer in NYC, or how our Company members got their start.
  2. A discussion of a particular Misnomer work. We have extensive video archives of our repertory posted online.  Select a piece for your students to watch ahead of time, and the Q&A can be directed towards answering questions about the choreography.
  3. Chris Elam, Misnomer's Artistic Director, has spoken at universities and conferences across the country on a range of topics that could be delivered in a Skype format, including Audience Engagement & Technology, Intercultural and International Collaborations, The Creative Process.

Or anything else you have in mind!  Click the "Yes, I'm Interested" button to start the conversation.
