Student Workshop

Get inside the technique and aesthetic of our company! Let us bring your students through our collaborative process for creating movement from language. We work around a theme, which we can select or can be chosen to compliment your existing curriculum.

One example of our course offerings includes The craft of making dance.

This workshop combines dance composition, techniques for partnering, and provides the dancer with a variety of tools to create dance.  The classes are designed to help improve partnering skills, movement invention, and choreographic skill.  The workshop objective is to teach dancers how to work in a variety of structures including duets, trios, solos, and group work.  Dancers will be asked to create original material and set it on various groupings.  They will learn techniques for creating layered dances, using journal writing and their own movement vocabulary.  The workshop will culminate in a group showing of the use of those structures.  Every participant will have the opportunity to actively choreograph both solo and groups dances.

We will provide a customized educational experience that meets the needs of your students. Click the "Yes, I'm Interested" button to start the conversation.
