Intro to LiveStream

If you're already holding a live Scheduled Event, you may want to stream that event live to the Internet (and also make it available for viewing after-the-fact). This allows you to make new fans and reach your audience, even if they can’t make it in person. For the moment, we’re focusing on making this a free offering (though we’ll touch on the alternatives and details below).  You can also set up a series of LiveStream events around a rehearsal process or other on-going projects.

What do you need to host a LiveStream event?

  • A free channel through LiveStream.
  • A camera connected to your computer/laptop with an internet connection.
  • One person at the event dedicated to setting-up and operating the camera and computer.

  • Record your broadcast and make it available to your fans after the event.
  • Upload existing videos to your LiveStream channel that will play in a continuous loop.
  • Chat Live with your online viewers!  The chat feature allows your fans to make comments, pose questions, and engage with you in real time.  If you’d like to use the chat feature you should have someone dedicated to monitoring and responding to the online conversation.
